You might not be able to cfw that model of ps3 ( I say might because I have a 3xxx myself which used to have 3.55 on it)
If you use minverchk.pup on the ps3 it will give you the factory fw, if that is higher than 3.55 you cant CFW it, only HEN it.

If its lower then your in the same boat as me and don't know what to do yet (see my thread)

Your PS3> CECH3000B is non-CFW compatible meaning you cannot install REBUG on it. You need to install PS3HENv2.3.1.

CECH-3xxxx models cannot install CFW. As Cypher says, PS3HEN v2.3.1 is the next best thing which is compatible with 3k slim models.

3.56 is the maximum; firmware higher than this (i.e. 3.60 and upwards) is incompatible with CFW due to metldr2 and this will not change any time soon, if ever.

Impossible: the CECH3000 model PS3 was released July 2011 the FW version at the time was 3.70 - 3.72. The min fw version installed on these was 3.70

My bro has a CECH3003B and its min ver is 3.70.
