PSP Plugins not showing on 6.61 PROMOD-C2p∞

I tried cxmb and audio boost plugins but when i open the vhs menu and go into recovery nothing is there. I added the correct codes into my VSH.txt file and reset vsh but nothing is working. Is there some other txt file i need? I tried searching but can't find a precise answer. I have the PSP 3000. I did recently switch the O and X buttons around as i have a Japanese PSP. Could that be a factor? Also using a sandisk 128gb sd card via adapter.
