Possible to mount game folder over wired ethernet?

I'm on rebug lite 4.86 with webman. I've been having some stuttering and glacial loading times mounting game dump folders via both USB and ps3netsrvr. I wanted to try and use a wired ethernet cable since my ps3 and pc are very close to each other.

I've seen the tutorials using ftp filezilla and that seems straightforward enough. My ps3 hdd is only 120gb however, and I'd rather not have to transfer the entire folder to my ps3 hdd. Is it possible to mount a game folder like through webman from pc hdd when connected over wired ethernet? Any package I need to install to do it?

thanks in advance

iam having this problem to when i do not have an empty usb drive .and i only just want to test if the game is playable on hen some games give you black screen after launch it ....this is a good idea my friend it will save time .

Use ps3netsrv to play games stored in PC or remote devices.

You can use webMAN MOD or multiMAN to mount the remote games.

It doesn't work using SMB shares. ps3netsrv uses a proprietary protocol.

It works wired ethernet or wifi (not recommended, it is very laggy).

Try this tutorial

If you get issues with the firewall, copy ps3netsrv.exe to the shared folder and run it directly.
