PSP Pro Duo, dual slot durability and reliability

I've heard a lot of bad stuff about the dual slot adapter but I'm curious if making a better housing would fix the durability issue. I honestly don't mind it being slow I just want to use my 16gb sd cards on it, so let's say I made a nice new housing for it would that make it reliable enough to use long term?

Dont use the dual slot cards at all. use just single slot. also the sd card are cheap as hell these days you can use 64gb card without problem.

Well rn I'm in a bit of a pickle, I only have 2 sd cards that are 16gb so I guess a single 16gb sd card won't kill me until I get a better one. Thanks for the tip!
