My friend have a slim ps3 and connected it to internet (GOD KNOWS WHY!) and after that install package files disappeared and I can't install CFW again. It errors corrupted. what should I do with this baby?
-Thank you in advance for your help.

He connected the PS3 online... but additionally he acepted a message to install the latest official firmware version, so he have 4.86 OFW

You should tell the PS3 model (and the minimal firmware version reported by this tool) just to be sure if is compatible with CFW, otherway we cant give you accurate instructions
But anyway... you need to hack it again (like if never had any unnofficial firmware before) using this toolset

it was already jailbreaked.
it's a cech-2504B and its min is 3.50.
Yes, but when your friend connected to the internet they installed the latest (4.86) official firmware as sandungas has already said. By installing official firmware over custom firmware, the exploit is removed and so the jailbreak process needs to be done again in order to be able to install custom firmware again.

you mean console installed OFW by itself just by connecting to the network?

No, the PS3 always displays a dialog with a YES/NO inmediatly before installing a firmware, and your friend selected the YES

I just mentioned it to dont confuse other people that could be reading us, there is some people that tells they had that problem "by accident", but the fact is they acepted the installation when they selected the YES option ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No, for example if he was on 4.85 CFW and then went to sign in to PSN, you get prompted to 'Install the latest system software' i.e. 4.86 in order to be able to use PSN. The user has to accept the license agreement and then wait for it to download approx 250MB of data before it installs. There is no way it could be installed without the user's knowledge.

I just had enough time to deal with the console. thanks again guys. But I'm wondering... I just remembered it was still 4.82 when he gave it to me to fix. If the console updated by the server, why it was still 4.82?

The system software i.e. firmware just had not been updated since 4.82. Since the update needs to be done deliberately, as I said there is no way the system could be updated without the user's knowledge. So it was still on 4.82 because no System Update operation was performed since 4.82 was installed.
