I have a CECHK-01 PS3 running Evilnat 4.90/Cobra 8.4 [CEX] firmware and I'm having a hard time getting ISOs to run on it. I've never owned a PS3 before, so I'm not sure if there's a technical issue or I'm just being retarded. Sorry for creating a new thread, also. I haven't found anything that fixed my problem yet.

After I installed the custom firmware, I FTP'd the ISOs onto the internal disk under hdd0/PS3ISO but when I try loading them I always get some kind of error. They don't show up under the menu in Multi Man, and when I try to launch them from the file manager I get "The selected disc image is not a compliant PS3 ISO". All of the other threads I could find about this were about either about making your own ISO or trying to run them from an NTFS disk, though.

I've also given it a try under Irisman and Webman, but no luck with those either. Irisman shows all the games in the menu, but trying to run one kicks me back to XMB. Webman also shows all the games, but launching one gives me a little dialog box that says Game name".iso loaded followed immediately by another dialog box that says Error! /dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/"Game name".iso

I tried burned discs, but they don't do anything. I can run PS1 and PS2 games from ISOs. It's only PS3 games I haven't been able to run.

I'm assuming the ISO files themselves are good, since I downloaded them from Archive? I don't have any PS3 discs to try making my own ISOs or another console to try this on. Is there something I need to do to the ISOs or any way I can check them?

Oh hell, never mind. I figured it out, it turns out all 7 ISOs I downloaded were screwed up somehow. I unpacked them into folders with WinRAR, then recreated the ISOs with PS3 ISO Tools and it worked the first time in Webman.
