Hey guys,
As per the title, I am having an incredibly difficult time with my prototype PS3 and was wondering if anyone would be able to provide some advice on the unusual behaviour it is exhibiting.
The PS3 in question is a 60GB BC DEH-H1000AS-E (pre-release prototype).
At this current time, the system only accepts DEX OFW and seems to be confused on its minimum downgrade praxis among other things (XMB states 1.00, but Safe Mode states 2.50). The end goal is to install DEX CFW to control fan speed and general hardware usage (temps, usage time, etc).
Firmware updates are tumultuous at best. When updating to different firmware versions, it seems to have a thing for throwing 8002/8002F error codes (I'm under the belief that these are potentially data corruption errors?), unless the system has cooled down for at least an hour, to which it will go through the entire update file with no problems. I initially believed this to be a flaw with the original 60GB Seagate Momentus HDD, however the problem persists with a 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD.
I've run the system through bgtoolset and managed to acquire a dump.bin file that I've run through PyPS3checker and it seems to throw 'DANGER!' and 'WARNING!' codes on certain pieces of information. The summary states 13 dangers and 5 warnings, one of which being an unidentified SKU (I'm assuming this is only due to a DEH prefix).
I am happy to provide the dump.bin file.
If anyone can point me in the right direction on what to do, I would highly appreciate it!
