I've tried opening and cleaning the controller. Nothing works. Without the PS Button it's not possible to turn on the controller or to quit games once launched.
[I have been managing the first one using SCPtoolkit on a PC. I found that plugging and then unplugging the controller from USB on PC turns on the controller and allows me to connect to the PS3.]
The best my console can manage is PS3HEN.
DISCLAIMER: Only The PS Button does not work. Other buttons are fine.
Maybe shorting any two of the pins on the USB port by using a pinout could work? Or connecting to a battery/usb charger?
