Ps vita bluetooth keyboard help

Hi, can anyone plaease help me with my problem? I have a bluetooth keyboard and tried connecting to to my ps vita. I went into settings and turned on bluetooth. My keyboard showed up on the vita, i tapped the keybaord and it searchs but then says an error occered. I made sure there wasnt any other devices in the house with bluetooth turned on. Many thanks
