Works on POPStarter, though with a little graphical corruption in the background water.

Me too. I have seen the other stuff he did as well like MegaMan X on Mega Drive and Sonic 1 on Super Famicom.

You would have to rename the executable boot file (PS-EXE) to the standard format such as SLUS_000.00 or SLES_.000.00 or something like that and rebuild the bin/cue.
