Given the huge enthusiasm behind the new Alpha of GTA 3 for the Dreamcast, a few days ago I played again the PS2 version, more precisely the one with the patch of the so-called Enhanced Edition, setting GSM in HDTV 480p mode (in VGA 640x480 mode the image is not perfectly centered unless you fiddle with the monitor settings) and with the Field Flipping emulation, and I have to say that even in this case the leap forward in terms of image quality is huge compared to that of a CRT TV, and once again I was annoyed by the missed opportunity.
The only problem I had was with the initial FMVs that flicker, but the loading screens as well as the game, of course, are perfect and beautiful.
In the next few days I will try to make one of these videos, which will not show much but is worth it anyway just for the record.
