PS2 PS2 Fat no standby power

Hello
I have a broken PS2 Fat with gh-001 mobo that doesn't turn on and has no standby light
Problem is definetely not with PSU, output 8.5V as it should
All fuses are good too both PSU and mobo (there are 15-20 of them)
Tried repairing it in a local repair shop, the guy said its CXP101064, somehow i doubt it cause this IC controlls disc drive and security according to PSDevWiki
If it really is the issue, can i just swap it from other PS2 mobo?
If not, what else should i check?

if the power supply and motherboard are both good then it could something else. Have you tried checking the ribbon cable of the power and eject button?

Yes, checked that as well. Nvm, i sold it, i've had it for over 2 months now, second repair shop i gave it to said it could be the MechaCon chip, the guy buying it said the same, too complicated for me anyway

follow the trace from LED indicator ribbon connector to whatever faulty chip it goes to.
