To start, the first jailbreak I set up on this ps3 slim was ps3hen for firmware v4.91. I then uninstalled ps3hen and installed the v4.91 OFW, after which I installed evilnat CFW v4.91.2 update.
The purpose of this was to make playing ps2 games easier. After installing the CFW and reinstalling multiman I booted up Disney's Tarzan Untamed (.iso file) and the game worked fine except for a strange issue.
Around 5% of the top half of the screen (horizontal) is delayed by around half a second compared to the rest of the screen. I went to managunZ and turned on 480p which made the game freeze on a black screen when i booted it (so i reverted the setting).
Just to be clear, this ONLY affected the PS2 games, I tried another game (downhill domination) and was met with the same bug.
Any advice on the matter would be appreciated.
Update: I found a solution to the problem
After researching the matter and trying different things like games with different compatibility ratings, different regions, etc… I found that the best solution was following MrMario2011's Guide on how to play games on ps3HEN, which required converting them to PS2 classics format. I thought that by having a CFW installed I wouldn't need to do this, but the persistent visual bugs and lag proved otherwise.
One thing of note was that, for whatever reason, when I had my FAT32 USB plugged in and launched one of the games from the HDD, the visual bug would be resolved, but then either having a different visual bug appear or otherwise result in intense lag or crashes. I can't think of any reason why this would happen, figured it might be interesting.
On a side note, is there a way to connect 4 DS3 controllers wirelessly when playing with the PS2 emulator?
