PS3 Ps2 game issues

Hey everyone,

I have tried every solution given for fixing ps2 games on ps3 and I do not have the know-how of what might be the issue. Is there a way for me to send this to a person who has more knowledge than I do that can fix my issue once and for all? Preferably from a legitimate business that specializes in these sorts of things? Oh, and to let you guys know, I have a cfw ps3 running on evilnat 4.91 Beta 9 CEX version. My storage is a Solid state Hybrid Drive, and I have the usual software to run PS3 and PS1 backups. My Ps2 games are PS2 classics games I bought and custom backups converted to ps2 classics format.

The solutions given to me on how to fix it are:

-I have changed from evilnat beta 10 pex to a beta 9 cex

-changed the temp settings on both webman mod and cfw tools folder

- went to recovery mode to rebuild database and file system

-tried deleting the ps2 save files but it never really got deleted

-tried loading ps2 isos on webman but that didn't work

- Tried the ps2 injection method on ps3

I'm not sure if recommending places who could fix my issue would fall into the "No advertising" rule. Please let me know if that would be an issue

Do you get Black screen, or does it boot sometimes depending on the temperature of the console?

Your issue is not as bad as black screen. I'm sure if you go to PS3TOOLSET.COM and click on system manager tab then go to the bottom of the page and expand the 32 error tab your likely to find 1001, 1002 or 1004 syscon error codes. It's likely to be bad NEC tokins. Report back with the last 5 codes

I see. Alright then,

The last 5 error codes are:

Error 27: 0xA080202
Error 28: 0xA080202
Error 29: 0xA080202
Error 30: 0xA080202
Error 31: 0xFFFFFFFF

Are these the codes you wanted? These are the error codes at the very bottom of the 32 error tab like you mentioned.

Interesting, this is what Wiki says about this in relation to your issue

"This error could also show when opening and closing a PS2 emulated game in a CFW console, both in Evilnat and Rebug. The errors would be in dyads. If this is the case, there is no reason of concern. "

But in your case, the closing of the game is forced. But Syscon isn't telling us what is forcing the shutdown.

I have seen this before, and normally, it's the NEC tokins, however normally the console would produce the 1001, 2, or 4 code.

I'm from the UK, if you're in the UK I'm happy to look at it

I can confirm that these errors (2022) are nothing to worry about.
My 2504A with once a perfectly clean SYSCON log is now full of them because I'm playing PS2 games a lot x)
Tested this on several PS3s to verify it.

Anyway, something you can try :

Oh I know your isssue. Go to the settings section. Hit game, and change the setting to normal or full screen. And smoothing set to on. That should fix your crashing.

I see. I tried doing this by going to settings like you said. Then to game settings. Set the PS/PS2 upscale to full screen, then ps/ps2 smoothing to on. I still got the same issue. Turns off with blinking red lights. Oh and to let you know, I'm gaming on a Sony PVM-14M2U
