PS2 PS2 HDD Formatting and FHDB install Problem

@Kevin8082 I explained why it is hardware issue, why high probably NA, and why checking HDD health which You propose is waste of time in this case and why what You said is nonsense. You distorting the facts.
Waiting for my new NA from amazon, will write here in a few days, when it arrives and i check it properly.

So the new Network Adapter arrived to me from amazon,i format it,again it says connected yes, formatted yes, after entering fhdb installation it says the hard disk drive unit is not formatted, going back to WLaunchElf,the same,HDD is not formatted,Connected Yes,Formatted No.I am stuck again,i dont know what to do else.I think it is playstation itself that causes problem,i dont know what to think of else, all hdd's are great,i have all the needed software,Three or four network adapters, originals, not originals, just everything. It worked 6 or 7 months ago,but now it doesn't

Mind sending a pic of crystal disk info with it showing the HD info? so we can see how old it is, usage and stuff like that

I think that wouldn't help out cause I bought 5 new HDD'd of different sizes, none of them work, the same problem everywhere, checked them all, they are all new,not used at all.I think problem is in PS2.It worked 6 months ago, than i left my console for two months, when i turned it on this problems appeared, and from that day it's the same,no matter what hard drive is and what adapter is.

Heard that before and the person had a HD with 5+ years of usage "sold new" but whatever, did you check for oxidation where the adapter connects on the ps2? sometimes that can happen, if you can try to clean the contacts

Port is good,i think if it would be a port problem,it wouldn't even read or format hdd.But it formats from wlaunchelf, after reboot,in wlaunchelf i see Connected Yes,Formatted No.

One more thing to mention.I have tried to use FHDB Noobie Pack from internet,i installed it into a hard drive using instruction,i insert hard drive and all i see is a black screen, nothing boots up,but flashes yellow light from inside of ps2,i think it tries to load up,but just can't.it s not normal, fuses are good, but what else it should be,three adapters here with me,two originals with sata mods, one from Kaico brand, not original, nothing works at all.

I inserted hard drive again, turned on ps2,and now it is black screen again,i took hard drive out,now ps2 shows nothing,i turn it on and it's a black screen all time,if i insert fmcb memory card, nothing, black screen, nothing loads up,no even sony boot logo, wtf is going on with this console,it was working well

For Now,We've disassembled console, checked out bios battery voltage, placed it in again, checked out other components, everything was good.Assembled console, turn it on,nothing, black screen, with memory card, without it,without hdd,it's somehow dead console now,i think it was dying slowly all this time and that's why the ability to run something from hdd or format it could not be used,i think this will be left unsolved, cause i have really never seen such a problem with any ps2 in internet.Console died because of what?Nothing happened with it.No hot swap of hard drive, not even modchip installed inside and never was.No turning off from back power button when using it,nothing.Unlucky with that, will have to buy one more ps2 fat,now want it to be scph-3000x,will try to find good and working model.

Anyway, guys,I appreciate your help, every advice that you gave to me,but unfortunately shit happens, this console was working for more than a year, after i got it from ebay, and i am so sad because of it's death.Thank you guys, thanks to everyone who answered to me and tried to help, but as we can see now, problem was much deeper than network adapter or hdd.I will leave it as a note here, just for someone if they have problems with hdd.If fuses are good,Network adapter is good, port where you connect NA is good,Hdd is feeling good, than it's something going on with PS2 itself, nothing more is left, that happened to me, unfortunately console is dead for now.I will just buy another model in future, but not now.Thanks.

Hey brother. You're not alone! I got the same issue exactly what you had. Unlikely i know what caused it for me. I tried to replace the clock battery on my ps2 scph 50000 but accidentally i broke the fan wire. I purchased a connector wire jst 1mm, soldered the fan wire with it but in opposite passthrough mistakenly. I switched on my ps2 and there was a little circuit shot smell! My fan failed. Ever since my hdd stopped to work. I installed fhdb and tried to boot. Black screen after sony intro and repeated clicking sound. I launched ulaunchelf and it says connected yes formatted no! I tried to search online for solutions but sadly no solution for this but just one. Get a new ps2. I'm from india and i barely get a fat ps2. Right now I'm just using pcsx2. Again you're not alone my friend.
