I'm using a GameStar SATA adapter and anytime it's plugged in, any disc out in the optical drive goes to a black screen, if I leave the expansion bay empty, the disks play just fine.
I've tried two different GameStar SATA adapters, and both have this issue.
But, when using my Official PS2 IDE adapter, the disks work just fine.
