Ps2 Power Supply Low Power?

I have a ps2 fat scph-39003.ThePSU is churning out 11.66 volts. But PS2 needs 12 volts. How can I fix it?
sorry for replying to relatively old thread .
I have same console and the power supplier can't give enough power for hdd / dvd-rom to launch and work properly . I need to know how to fix that .

the only way to confirm would be testing it on the device itself, I believe so, but I can't guarantee it will work, of course.

I thought the Ps2 used 8.5v input...??
Tfat scph models 10000 to 18000 (without HDD 3.5 input) use 8.5v power supply, should never be connected to a 12v source or burn out immediately, other models from 30000 (with HDD 3.5 input) use power supply 12V with current that varies from 6A to 7A, in my 50001 I adapted a 12v parallel source used in monitoring systems like this:
https://www.circuitspecialists.com/12-volt-2-amp-power-supply.html
Initially the device was turning off in games, so with the help of the multimeter I measured the voltage of the source and it was delivering between 11.95 and 12.00V, but when turning on the device and demanding more current there was a large voltage drop going to less than 10.5V, I adjusted the output to be between 12.25 and 12.30V and it is working normally, as it is my secondary device I chose a 5A one, but if you want to use a 3.5 internal HDD buy one with at least 7A, preferably 10A.

it would be necessary to verify if it is with an original source and compatible with the model first, and if it is, a careful evaluation would be necessary, maybe it is just the damaged electrolytic capacitors that need to be replaced, in which case it is simple, just buy new ones of good quality and origin, with the same specifications and make the exchange in csa even, be careful with the polarity or it can burst.

Probably you have to replace one or more caps. Or just buy a new power supply: scheda PCB alimentatore interno 220v 35008A per ps2 fat v4-v8 #02049 | eBay

I bought that when the one on my 39004 stopped working. Also my was outputting about 11 volts but it was enough for internal HDD and everything worked perfectly. The problem was that sometimes it completely loosed the power (stand-by led was off). Disconnecting the power cord for a while made the power to come back, at least for some time. Then at one point it almost never worked, so I bought it new.
