PS2 PS2 Slim(SCPH-79004) Homebrewing/hacking help.

Hello there fellow PSX-place members! I need help regarding a ps2 slim that has a mod chip installed in it,
Long story short a friend gifted me this ps2 slim he had it in his attic and forgot about it and he had installed some mod chip it is some weird one that I cannot find online on the chip it says M7 and below that auto.
I want to run OPL and UlaunchELF on this console but I can't do it, as I am really new to modding of consoles the only console I ever hacked was an old wii and that's it no experience other than that and I watched a youtube video to do it now I cant find anything online, I've asked chatGPT but to no avail. Please help me mod this console

Could be different now, but I remember having to disable the modchip every time I wanted to use soft mods. It's a pita tbh.

However, having modchip you can run any homebrew from DVD-R or CD-R disc. But been on your place, I would desolder it if you have such possibility and via FDVDB, install FMCB. In current state, you can try install FMCB 1.8b or PS2BBL but no guarantee that modchip will not conflict even with them.

Thanks for your replies! can I just directly use a dvd-r with FMCB(or FDVDB I don't know)? because this modchip doesn't have a menu or anything. If you want I can send you a picture of the chip

today i tried booting my console while holding down triangle and circle it opened up matrix infinity v1.82 configuration menu i tried changing boot mode to dev1(which i think is USB, please correct me if I'm wrong) and pressed start to save the settings but it gets stuck and the settings don't get saved I've tried pressing the power button to restart it holding the power button to shut it down and tried booting again, holding select and pressing start to save but still the settings dont get saved and the menu freezes
