Hi,
I have an issue, I have a PS3 CECHA and I tried to downgrade to FW 1.02 which I achieved using the following process:
1. Downgrade to 3.55 rebug
2. Enable FSM
3. Flash ofw 1.02 using the FSM procedure
4. Boot up to 1.02
Since then I do not achieve to go back on a higher firmware. I noticed that the QA flags were still enabled on 1.02 (pressing L2+R2+L3+arrow down displayed the install package files). One other stange thing is that each time I was booting up the console, the system was in japanese, hdmi settings to 480p and date & time were reset. I must add some information regarding the clock battery which is dead of course after 18 years.
All ofw installation higher than 2.xx (I tried 2.52, 3.25, 3.55) led me to a RSOD and I must format my disk every time.
I finally installed ofw 1.10 which led me to the following error: "8002F0B1". But when rebooting, the system was in 1.10 (system info). I tried to upgrade to 1.50 which also led to "8002F0B1" and the system is in FSM when booting now. My controller connects but buttons are not responding.
I would like to leave the FSM using the `lv2diag.self.exit` but I have the feeling that it is one more error. In fact, it looks like everybody is using it on 3.55 OFW. In my case I am running 1.50 in FSM which can be different.
Of course I have a NAND dump made under 4.93 Evilnat when everything was OK, but this console was never opened and I would like to keep it this way (historical reasons).
Do you have any idea of what I could try to exit FSM and/or upgrade to 4.93 Evilnat such as before?
In advance, thank you for your time and reply.
Note: After some reading, I am pretty sure that the issue is related to the fact that I did not use the lv2diag to leave the FSM after flashing the 1.02 firmware. May I use it now?
I know that flashing a fw in FSM is not at all a good idea and is a death sentence. As I am in a very early version of the firmware, maybe can I try to leave the FSM using lv2_diag.self or maybe flash once again 1.02 or 3.20?
