PS3 PS3 4.93 flash writer saving to hdd0/themes

Hey everyone

Just trying to update my PS3 4.93 to CFW using the flash writer tool.

Pretty much the title says it all for some reason when saving my NOR file it's saving to HDD0/themes

I originally had HEN installed, and tried to use flash writer, then I realised I needed to be on HFW so did another double install and this removed HEN

Retired flash writer and got the same result of saving to the HDD0/theme?

Any ideas

Tried multiple USBs with no luck

Have completed a factory reset and will try again will keep this posted for anyone else who may find it useful

That file stored in HDD0/theme is not a real theme.

The Flash Writer tool uses a disguised "theme" file to download the patch needed to apply it to the flash memory.

HEN is not required to run Flash Writer. Only HFW 4.93.1 is required to use an exploit in the webkit.

Thanks for this mate I ended up figuring it out, it pushed it over to the flash drive and I Checked it all, successfully updated from 4.93.

I can confirm the updates flash writer is working as expected
