Hi guys! I'm a newcomer here, its nice to join to this nice community. I have a question. I have PS3 2508B 0C 4.83 official firmware. Finally I decide to install CFW 4.92 Evilnat. Do I need install 4.92 official firmware before CFW 4.92 Evilnat or its OK to install Evilnat with my old 4.83 official firmware? Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Once you have applied the exploit with the PS3 Toolset you can install 4.92 CFW directly over 4.83 OFW - no need for the additional step of installing a newer OFW first as the Toolset supports 4.83 as it is. :)

Hi! Thank you! I knew it. I will try on weekends. Can you please recommend to me detail and accurate guide to install CFW 4.92 Evilnat? I'm really afraid to brick my PS3

@Roman82 I was going to recommend Coro's guide but then saw he beat me to it :) Using the PS3 Toolkit you absolutely are not able to brick your PS3 as there are strict safeguards put in place by bguerville to prevent that.

MrMario is one of the few YouTube creators I would recommend for anything PS3 modding related as his videos are thorough and methodical, so they make a nice visual accompaniment to a written guide and together you can't go wrong :)

Thank you so much! I have a last question. After I applier the exploit with the PS3 Toolset and install 4.92 CFW I wanna replace my old hdd 160GB to ssd 1Tb. I just need to again install CFW 4.92 Evilnat on new ssd and that's it?

Yes. If you first wish to backup anything that's on the old HDD and transfer it to the new drive, see Berion's comprehensive Ultimate userdata backup guide for everything you need to know in order to do that - which includes backing up the EID root key for your console, which is very easy to do and is generally good practice to have it backed up anyway even if you don't want to transfer anything from the old drive to the new SSD.

some ssd give problems (even after a year or more working fine). one least one of these problems forces you to format again or ps3 will not boot to xmb. ps2 sometimes stops working.

if you use ssd, i recommend that you backup your saves often.

Thank you for your advice. But still cant install patch from toolset, flash plugin disabled on my PS3. I tried everything, created new user, deleted everything in browser, even factory reset and install 4.92 ofw two times, rebuild database. Nothing. There is no popup messages about flash plugin at all. What else can I do? My PS3 2508B 0C 4.92 OFW By the way, then I trying go directly to the ps3toolset appear browser error - google your browser unsupported anymore. I resolved this problem to set homepage yahoo.com, it working.

created new user
did you login as that user? sorry if it is a silly question but somebody recently made the user but didn't realize they had to use it to open the browser.

sometimes it just doesn't show up. a rare bug that is hard for the developer to diagnose unfortunately.

At a glance.
The first swf file gets loaded successfully according to posted Toolset logs so it doesn't look like a Flash Player issue.
The second swf file however gets an IO error response...
Not sure what your issue is BUT if I had to investigate I would first suspect a possible ISP related issue, try another Internet connection, use your smartphone hotspot for instance & see if it makes a difference.

Thank you for your advice and an amazing tool, man! I already solved this issue. What I did, maybe someones will help this. First I entered in recovery menu and install once again HFW 4.92.2 after this - rebuild database and next factory reset - all this from recovery menu. In xmb created new user and plug in wired Ethernet. And its worked! I successfully install memory patch and after it CFW 4.92 Evilnat! This method works for me. But now I have another problem. Temperature. CPU 65C, RSX 74 in xmb, no games. I decided disassemble my PS3 and re paste new thermal. Question about thermal pads, 2508 have three pieces of thermal pads, I don't know their thickness. In internet there is a different information, 1.5mm, 2.00mm. Also I wanna add some extra thermal pads to memory and chipset.and maybe for cpus power chokes Is it ok?
