PS3 ps3 blackscreens when loading pkgs

heyo

i have a ps3 superslim (HFW 4.90 HEN, HEN works btw) and ive been trying to play pkg games, but as the title says every time i open one up the console blackscreens and nothing shows up. this also happens when trying to open the PS store, it shows the logo and then.... blackscreen
same behaviour with MultiMAN, i installed it but again, i get a blackscreen when i start it up.

i had already installed HEN on this console once, some years ago. but i followed one of those crappy tutorials on youtube and it didnt work correctly, so after a whileof not using it i decided to format it and install the new HFW 4.90.

ive tried:
installing HFW 4.90
installing HFW 4.90 twice
installing HFW 4.90 from safe mode
installing HFW 4.90 from safe mode twice
rebuilding database from safe mode
quick format
full format
restore to factory mode or whatever it was called
swap hard drive

what i havent tried yet:
change cmos battery
change BD drive
take it for a walk

can anyone help me?
 
i opened my ps3 and saw that the large ribbon that was connected to the Blue Ray drive was a bit damaged from the time i tried to clean it up, i had heard that faulty blue ray drive could cause similar issues so i though maybe that was the issue. so i bought a replacement ribbon.

and after replacing the ribbon.....

nothing changed, still the same black screens

im not even using webman, but if you're wondering i did try setting the fan to manual. surprisingly installing webman was one of the only things that worked, but i didnt check if it would load games. also my ps3 is dissasembled for a thermal paste change so i cant use it for now

small update, after like the 9th trillion time formatting the system the ps store suddenly works now. maybe it won't blackscreen anymore? (system currently has 4.90 OFW)

installed hfw 4.90 twice + hen aaaaand..... nothing. now the ps store doesnt work and everything gives black screens again
 
does hen enable properly? are you using ps3xploit.me or ps3addict.github.io to install?

remember that, after installing webman pkg, you mist run the installer icon with L1 held untill ps3 restarts.

make sure there is no "bootplugins.txt" in root of any usb device plugged in while enabling hen.

yes, hen enables properly, i used ps3xploit.me to install, but have never heard of ps3addict
about webman and bootplugins.txt, yeah i already did all that.
i gave up and i dont really care anymore. i got a new pc powerful enough to emulate the PS3 games i wanted to play.
im just going to format it, leave it with OFW and give it to my dad so he can watch his blu-rays.
