PS3 PS3 CECH-2001B (DYN-001) – PS0 NG, PowSeq A102, ERRLOG A0093003 / A0092113

Hi,
Working on a PS3 Slim CECH-2001B (DYN-001) with the following issue:
  • Powers on for ~1–3 seconds
  • Then shuts down with blinking red LED
  • Fan barely spins
What has been checked

  • No obvious shorts on main rails
  • CELL / RSX resistance appears normal (no hard short)
  • Basic power rails present and stable
  • Capacitor-related issues (TOKIN) ruled out with testing
  • VRM section starts and produces Vcore briefly before shutdown
Syscon logs

❓ Questions

  1. On DYN-001 boards, does PS0 NG + A102 typically indicate a CPU (CELL) issue, or can it still be caused by VRM/control logic?
  2. Are A0093003 / A0092113 considered strong indicators of CELL failure, or have you seen them caused by VRM controller / feedback issues?
  3. In cases where Vcore briefly comes up and then shuts down cleanly, would you prioritize:
    • CPU
    • VRM controller (ISL6320)
    • or power sequencing logic?
  4. Any recommended quick checks to confidently distinguish between CELL vs VRM/control issue on this board?
Thanks in advance for any input
