PS3 PS3 CECHA/B/E CMOS Battery Replacment

Seeing what others solutions were for replacing the CMOS battery in the original fat model PS3s that use the 2 wire connector. Looking for specific battery holders that would be good to splice to the original connector or a battery that comes with a new 2 wire connector. I've seen some on eBay but want to explore all options before making a purchase.

As far as I know, the best one to get would be one from Sony, but overall they are all from the same manufacturers.

Another thing you can try (if you feel confident) is making a mod with wires and case for any CR2032 battery, just like in this video:

I just popped off the welded tabs, then bent them to maintain contact on the new battery. Covered everything again with heat shrink.

I ended up going with a battery I found that was already shrink wrapped and has the connector,
