PS3 PS3 CECHA problem with PS2 upscaler on PAL games

Hello, It seems that the issue is not as well known as I had originally assumed. Basically there are a number of PS2 PAL region games that freeze on black screen during boot on CECHA consoles unless ps2 upscaler is switched off in the settings. Maybe there is something in Cobra code that causes it ? I hope developers could check this out . It happens to PAL versions of the games Death By Degrees and Call of Duty Finest hour (NTSC versions boot just fine) , but I am sure there are others as well. I have not checked too many.

I doubt it's Cobra. If you have any such game on real, original, PS2 game, you can test them without Cobra.
1. Enable the DEX debug menu (can be done via CFW tools on Evilnat, without completely changing to DEX).
2. Use the debug menu to switch your region to UK or Europe, basically creating a "CECHA03" or "CECHA04". This should stick even if you disable Cobra (maybe even if you revert to OFW).
3. Disable Cobra through the CFW tools menu. At this point your console is as good as unmodded until you re-enable Cobra.
4. Insert the disc and see if it works.
