PS3 PS3 CFW and Overclock

Hi all,

I just got my hands (finally) on a pristine CECHA00 PS3. I opened, delidded, changed all thermal pads and used liquid metal on the cores and PTM7950 between heatspreaders and heatsink.

The console is now running so much cooler than before.

I now want to go to the next step, install CFW and overclocking.

Could someone explain to me the process to add overclocking to a CFW? Is a CECHA00 with liquid metal capable of doing 700 on RSX or should I only go up to 600 and no higher?

PS3 FAT DELID QUESTIONS
.
Hi folks, I'm thinking of delidding my PS3 FAT as in idle it is at 67C CPU and 60-62 RSX.
1) which do you think is the best and most realistic guide to follow (i see some great guides but the people showing how to do it have a whole workshop of tools that the everyman doesn't).
2)Specifically on RSX, how do you recommend reattaching the heatsink once it's cleaned and repasted? Would using arctic silver thermal adhesive paste work on the vram modules or should one use something else as a solution?

You Delidded but you now want advice on it...

Yes I did, but I just left the heat spreaders without any adhesive. Post was just a lazy copy paste from a discord channel I had the same question on the adhesive. Since it works I want to stick the heatspreaders in place and asking for the right approach (different guides I saw give different takes, and in particular for the RSX I can't see a universally good solution to reattach it. PTM7950 on the mems doesn't hold it in place.

PS3 CFW Evilnat 4.92 - fan control question - Thread Merged

.Hey all, I've recently JBed my PS3 FAT CECHA and installed Evilnat. I enable dynamic control setting max temp to 60C, the fans start spinning for a bit at higher speed, but then they go down to minimum speed even if the temps are above 60C (63-64C). They then don't really speed up again to get the temps below 60. Is this normal?

Same thing happens if I set manual speed, I set it say at 40% and then after a few seconds it will slowly spin back down to near minimum.
