Yesterday I went to test a deh edition of the sc4rlxne cfw (https://www.psx-place.com/threads/4-84-sc4rlxne-cfw-4-84-d-rex-beta-1.44738/#post-398603) but upon installing the system had a black screen. The system still connects to target manager and the cp is on version 1.3.3 however trying to revert the firmware to rebugs 4.84.1 DECR LE through target manager always failed. I cannot boot into safe mode and the reset switch on the main face of the unit did not help things either.

The closest post I could find regarding this issue was this post (https://www.psx-place.com/threads/need-doner-dump-for-decr-1400a-dev-tool-console.32159/), however most of the flash patching was done by Joonie and haxxxen. It looks they did get the system working in the end by patching the coreOS something I know nothing about and would most likely make things worse by attempting to figure out myself.

I do not currently own an e3 flasher but if one is needed I can buy one for the sake of recovery

1. DECR1000A has NAND flashes so E3 Flasher isn't compatible
2. You do not need a hardware flasher for this type of brick.
3. You need to find a set of FSM files and dongle that let you enter FSM
4. PUP installation FSM method is needed to wipe out your dev_flash region on your NAND but PUP installation itself will fail after your dev_Flash is wiped out, but no worries you can exit out of FSM then enter recovery mode to reinstall REBUG 4.84.1 DECR LE.

5. if your recovery mode freezes after your dev_flash is wiped out, then you can use ebootrom method

ok.. I just realized this is the person I already helped .. and his unit's alive again..
