PS3 DECR running Gears of War 3 (and more :))

I wonder if that's the leaked version or the full version. a hacking group hacked into epic games' servers and stole the unfinished code of gears of war 3. there r some weird glitches with it including green boxes popping up randomly, probably due to being unfinished. I think the game is beatable though.

This game is running on a decr PS3 with 512MB of RAM. It still runs pretty slow so porting it over to a PS3 CFW with only about 256MB of RAM would be very hard. Also releasing this is a easy way to get sued. So I am pretty sure they won't. Most games were only released on Xbox 360 because of RAM limit.

yes, one of the issues between the ps3 and the 360 is that the ps3's os uses three times as much memory as the 360's os. it's not surprising that they had to use a decr to get the game to run. though, I'd be interested to know how they did it.

Video is legit. Nice, huh?
I have recently purchased a DECR-1400A ps3 dev kit with the extra ram to run this but I'm unsure how to get gow3 onto the system, as it's not jailbroken, my ps3 is running standard firmware 4.40.
Do I need to do anything special on my system first to get this running? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, no idea. This isn't my system on that video.

There is CFW Rebug 4.46 for DECR if You are interest but how to run it depend of form in which You have this game. High probably You don't need CFW, just use standard procedures. read the docs how to test code, I believe it is possible to play it from PC (sending game through network and test it, in test mode).

I never have any DECR and contact with official software for it.
Maybe @haxxxen could give You some advice.

Thank you for taking the time to respond:)
I downloaded gow3 for ps3 so I think I have what's need to get started.
I have many jailbroken ps3's here but never had the DECR-1400A with extra ram before so I don't want to mess anything up, especially if cfw is needed, I totally understand I can ONLY use the correct cfw for DECR versions but unsure if I can just install directly without having to jailbreak first?
As you say hopefully @haxxxen can shed some more light on this, as I only want it to experience gow3 nothing else, I will keep it preserved with warranty sill still in tact........ for now anyway

@Hazzard please do not mention where you got the files because they were not official releases.

@Berion if he had legal right to the official sdk, he would not need to find it for download.

You should not need to install a CFW to test a game or app, debugging & testing games is what those development consoles are for.
The standard way (without CFW) is to use TargetManager (TM) to copy files to /dev_hdd0 or whatever writable partition, mount games/apps which files are on the PC, launch a self, debug executables with ProDG etc..

TM is part of the licensed sdk however iirc one or more versions of the standalone installer is/are available on the Internet.
Not sure whether using a TM copy without a sdk license is a problem legally speaking..

Now I have never had a DECR station myself so I cannot confirm anything with certainty but when it comes to CFW installation, I don't think it's any different from a retail console, you should only need to jailbreak if the firmware is > 3.55 otherwise you should be able to install the CFW directly.
Iirc you should be able to downgrade the firmware at will on DECR, if so you should have no problem downgrading to OFW 3.55 DECR or under then installing a Rebug CFW 4.8x for DECR.
Maybe @zecoxao or @haxxxen can confirm..

Thanks for all your help I managed to get gow3 onto the system and running to the menu, however I'm now struggling to understand the keyboard commands required?
What I have so far i know works is:
Stat fps
Start geargame_p?chapter=0
That's all I understand on how to get it working.
Is there a list somewhere on what needs to be typed in order for it to work on the development DECR-1400A?
Any read me lists or general help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry for my delayed answer, but honestly, everything was already said and done correctly

I am also interested in trying this game on my Tool, but still have not found my motivation for doing tests

Thanks @haxxxen for your reply, I have got everything working but I'm just struggling to understand what comands work and how to load each chapter etc as it won't work directly from the game controller, it uses keyboard commands.
If you do manage to find your motivation some help with a list of comands would be greatly appreciated.
