Hello,
I bought a PS3 super slim which displays on av port, when I tried to change to hdmi it shows DVI1 720x480@50Hz with black screen. I tried to reset the display, change the hdmi cables and hdmi ports on the tv, tried another tv and even change the hdmi IC with no success. The hdmi port on the motherboard is also ok.
What can be the solution ?

have you tried the reset option? holding the start button until 2 beep and release ? change the hdmi cable ? if not then maybe your hdmi is faulty, or other problem.
Do you have a av cable to test ?
