PS3 PS3 Fat Blu-Ray Drive swap

Hi guys, I have Ps3 Fat CECHC03 and i was stupid and was trying to upgrade my firmware to jailbreak my ps3 and blu-ray drive was broken so stuck in boot loop as it dosent detect my blu-ray drive. I can swap other dead PS3 Drive Model (CECHK04) so i wanted to ask if its possible to swap the drive? Will it work on my CECHC03 ps3?

should give it a try..

if you want to jailbreak your ps3, use bgtoolset, no need another blu ray disc. if the cd drive not reading, maybe the cd corrupt/problem on your cd reader/problem on your fw.

the drives may be swappable but they are "married" to a "daughterboard"...im not sure of the process but you have to swap the board also and maybe "remarry" the two to the new ps3...newer ps3s have no problem without a drive in it but if that board is broken then you do have problems.

make sure the drives cables are plugged in good...
