PS3 PS3 FAT CECHC04 - COK-002 - GLOD - no video on HDMI and Component

It could have other issues, especially if the controller connected and he had no picture. It could be a dead GPU, but that would normally post a YLOD, not GLOD, but it can't be ruled out. At this stage, I would look to get a Syscon read.

Thank you both! It remained the same. no visual on hdmi, and i dont have a rca 2 hdmi converter. I suspect that if these steps didnt helped, maybe the connector or the syscon chip broken. Next week I'll buy this syscon reader. and try to solder the needed points to it. to be able to read it out. Thank you again for your effort! you did great helping a fellow enthusiasm. :D

So, before I did a full test of this console, I piggbacked some tantalum capacitors (Panasonic, 6.3v 470uf.). This console didn't shut down and was played for over 3 hours.

No shut downs.no graphic anomalies, boots from cold and warm. Before the tantalum caps, the CPU went to 62 degrees, and the RSX went to 64 degrees. (Did the first scene in TLOU) After the caps went on, both RSX and CPU did not go above 60 degrees, so a small improvement, but most importantly, no shut downs!

This console originally had GLOD and would not connect to a controller; this is the 7th console I have done over the last 10 months with no failures to date.

damn, you look like a repair machine on PS3's LOL.

I didn't have much luck with Fat's :( I already bought two with ylod to try something, the first was a CECHG that I noticed, but at the time I was very happy that I had fixed it and I was using it with overheating, I was with +80 degrees Celsius playing GTA until which burned and stopped altogether.

my second was a CECHB, which only served to make a post here about South Bridge delid, because it already came with the CPU scratched.

now I'm trying to trade a CECHL, before presenting YLOD it takes something around 5 seconds, the owner was careful, he changed the thermal paste every 6 months and no repair was tried, in currency conversion it is something around 20 dollars I think I'll try my luck...

I got a console that I painted white but has a small chip on the corner, so I can't sell it as new. (See pic)

It's had a full referbishment and has never had any faults. I think it's a "G" revision.

I can check webman for the total power on time for you. Let me know if you're interested.

I look beautiful, very beautiful in fact, I don't think I would even sell LOL

I'm actually from Brazil, so it would be a little complicated to ship here, mainly because in this "wonderful" country of mine, anything imported that exceeds 50 dollars, I have to pay taxes that vary from 60 to 90% of the product's value, in addition to the conversion we must multiply by 5, so, for example, 200 dollars becomes at least 1600 reais with taxes:rolleyes:

I wanted to vent a little and ended up forgetting to ask the main thing.

this G you painted, did you recover it from YLOD too or did you buy it working and just painted it?

OFF: Good news! found a "C" with no working BR drive but in working order at least, for about 55$ with shipping. :)
The other is waiting the syscon reader, and an rca to hdmi converter to arrive.
:)

That's great news. A blu-ray re-marry is easy to do, providing you have a spare drive. Good luck [emoji106]

I'm a virgin @ re-marry. :D so it can be difficult, but thank you. I feel the force to be able to make it. :D
I have an RLOD and this GLOD one laying around, so, if I'm unable to fix the RLOD witn pana 6.3v 470uf tant caps, then it'll be the donor. :(

In part one of my referbishment video near the start, I do a drive remarry.

May I ask why your videos are unlisted? Pretty useful and if you reach 1000 subscribers youtube pays ~2.5$ on each 1000th views (2.5 if you located in hungary, pays more if you are in usa, etc) :)

The recording i just gave you the link to is public, some I do only for PSX place and those I keep unlisted so they can only be linked from this site.

The 55$ cechc04 arrived. it looks as it was on the pics, but above the non working BR, there is another catch. Wifi doesnt work either. :/ BT works okay tho. and it's have a 2.5 OFW installed, 60gig hdd, and dirty looks. :D it'll definitely be fun to make. :D First im about to install 500g 7200 drive, evilnat cfw, and some goodies, then play some games, watch the thermals, then make a comparison with them. :) I hope it's gonna work okay. Try to fix the non spinning BR too. fingerscrossed. :)
