PS3 ps3 fat or ps3 slim 2500

i really wanted to buy a ps3, when i look up about modding on ps3, turns out you can mod all type of ps3 fat, and some kind of ps3 slim, i need to know which one is the better, ps3 fat, or slim 2500. i looked up on online store, the ps3 slim 2500 had a build in cfw(but idk the version of it) and i need to know can you update the cfw into the latest version, or can you install the cfw at all. im really new about ps3 and sorry if i had a bad english, thanks

Since the slim one is already running a CFW, buy it. You can upgrade/downgrade it, and also be confident that you don't need to be worried about a hardware failure.
