PS3 Game Backup Studio

We can defiantly play around and see what we can do I had just forgotten about that bug until just then and it may be an easy fix.
This is only my 3rd time using wpf so I'm learning as we go.
 
We needed to add folder watchers so if they add a game in one of the folders it will automatically extract the needed files and add it to the list.

This is a great example of little things that get missed that's why I think the more people posting ideas the better this can be.
 
Well this has blown up can we ask everyone who has suggestions to also include it in the github issues ?

Im going to post this before i forgot... i was thinking in it the other day, is just a detail but handy

In the "updates downloader" tag... it could be nice to enter the TTLE_ID by clicking in a button "browse folder"

1) User clicks in "browse folder" (a folder supposed to contain PS3 game files, JB, ISO, PKG or dunno)
2) Program does a recursive search in all the subfolders to find the main PARAM.SFO (except USRDIR, PKGDIR, INSDIR, and all the others we know that doesnt contains the PARAM.SFO we are looking for... this makes the recursive search more efficient)
3) Program fills the TITLE_ID in the "updates downloader" automatically by reading it from the SFO


No need to type, everything made with the mouse :)
It will only work if you have the game files in PC (to search for the TITLE_ID in them), so is optional

That would really handy because things are going to get start getting lost in this thread before long.

I was gonna add button in each game type to do that with the selected game. Having a button like you said will be nice too for if the game isn't in the folder.
 
A small update Dark & I have gotten the icons & SFO's extracting from the pkg's & he got the SFO reader going.

Hi. He had been watching the program last night and a couple of things happened to me. Compatibility with isos of psp, psx and ps2? and pkg linker with integrated ps3xploit I imagine you would have already thought about that. If something else happens to you, I'll tell you. Sorry I can not help anymore. A greeting.

I think we should be able to do something with the psp, psx and ps2 iso's. That's a nice idea thanks for that.
@DeViL303 had talked about adding pkg linker and it wouldn't be hard at all to do. We're already using a lot of the code from it. If it's okay with him I'll quote the ideas from the message.

These are great ideas. If we keep going like this we're going to have a great toolbox.

I'm working on getting everything added to the issues on GitHub if I miss anything someone please remind me.

Okay so the day before I posted this I sent him the 3 pics like the ones in the first post and here is what he had to say. You gotta give it to him theses are some good ideas from nothing but 3 pics.

1. The PKG list is what exactly? PKG info with option to extract, and the sfo box will be sfo reader and editor too I assume, with auto extraction and rebuilding if its edited?

2. What will the iso list be for? iso info and sfo editor too?

3. will it include pkg linker and ps3netserv functions for pkgs and isos?

4. I assume resigning functions for pkgs, how about ISO to pkg and pkg to ISO conversion?

5. how about including an ftp client too for copying the files to the ps3?

6. Game files, that is for folder rips? with options for conversion too I assume.

7. Could even include some nor/nand dump checking stuff maybe, could be going a bit far with that though?

8. when it installs does it create folders for ISOs,pkgs,folder rips etc, or do you set the paths to those in the settings?

9. how about including a database of MD5s for known homebrew pkgs, so it can show more info like developer, release date and if newer version is out. Could maybe do something similar with ISOs to show they are not corrupt at least.

I really like that color. I think it might be more a fuchsia/champagne/wine than pink, but it's probably something I would use. it's about the color that I used as my text color on another site, all be it darker. :D

That's what we're going for. I don't know how much ofw stuff we'll have other than han mode.
