PS3 Game Backup Studio

Oki, so for the ICON0.PNG i will make an icon that will work as a fallback, i will think in it later, initially i liked the idea of using grey tones but probably i will enter in a semi-infinite loop adding details, lol

With the ico im almost done with it, i thought it was "final" couple of versions ago but now i rebuilt it at 256x256 i improved some more details and fixed a couple of mistakes, this is v16 (a.k.a. final v3 lol, and counting)

I edited my previous message right now to show you a sample of the final images

The .ICO (in color) contains 16 layers with different sizes and color palettes to try to cover all microsoft windows versions. If someone wants to verify that is working fine copy it to a folder, then change this folder view mode to thumbnails, list, etc... or/and change the global settings to "show big icons" (or things like that, windows uses different icon sizes for special modes), or change video settings to 16 colors... or 256 colors... or real colors

The ICON0.PNG in greytones is intended to work as a fallback... or it can be said it represents a "missing ICON0". This is why i like it in greytones because it looks that there is something weird related with it :)

And the text logo is an image i had to make in an intermediate step... is just i made it at huge size as an experiment, and now im thinking maybe you want to use it for other things

The files are attached to this post, download them here (not from imgur that resamples the images and causes pixelations)

How complicated is the transition from VB.Net (win32) to WPF using C#?
I know its in the same visual studio, but i've very little c/c++/c# experience

WPF is for the GUI & it's done in xml. You have a lot more control but with that it takes more work to get the GUI setup. WPF can be used with VB.net too if you're interested it playing around with it without learning more c#.

Learning C# if you know VB shouldn't be hard at all. Don't let the "C" trick you c# is more like VB than like c/c++. For me c# seems like the easiest of the 4.

I'm slow & far from a great programmer but I'm always happy to share any knowledge I have if you ever need a hand.

Hello, I bought a used PS3 slim and after taking it home I noticed that the laser was not working that well and I remembered having ReBug back in the day of 3.55 and started researching, one search led me to another and got everything up and running, backed up my Blurays etc. but found this thread after looking for an all in one tool and more modern, is this dead?
