Hey the links are down, could anybody reup any kidn of ps3 controlelr test suit ?

You can also use SCP Toolkit on PC to test your PS3 controllers.

It was made to use DS3 and DS4 controllers on PC via either BT or USB cable... but it has some functions to test your controllers> you can test the responsiveness of the buttons, triggers, analogues, the pressure sensitivity of each button, trigger etc to see if there are any dead zones etc and to make sure they respond correctly to different pressure being applied to them.

There's an Android App on Google play store which can test PS3, PS4 & many other kind of controllers. You need android OTG micro USB adapter to connect your controller to your smartphone.

This is exactly what I was looking for to check some controllers I bought used. Regarding the sixaxis outputs, should they all be equal to each other if I set the controller on the floor? The numbers stopped jumping around when I did that but they were all different values

On the same surface, they should be arround the same values: maybe one has X axis at 1.040295 and the other one has it at 1.027362.

As long as there are no big differences, you are good to go.

Also bear in mind that genuine, original Sony PS3 controllers (the ones with SIXAXIS) will have the best pressure on the buttons and triggers, and the best coverage, sensitivity and reaction on both sticks.

If you try a fake controller with this app, you will see abrupt changes in numbers (instead of smooth) and some blind areas while moving the sticks (the worst for playing games that uses the sticks... which are all of them).
