Hi, little ps3 Hen question

I got a PS3 with Hen(v4.5 I believe) from a friend a while ago and wanted to log into my account when it told me that a system software update is required but when I try to update it says until further notice. please remain on this firmware and to visit PS3Xploit for new announcements.
is there anyway to log in? I don't need to but it would be nice

I don't know much about any of this stuff but any and all responses are appreciated

There's no v4.5, update you system via USB to the latest HFW and then install HEN again.
