PS3 PS3 hen update won’t install

I need help guys this issue is very annoying trying to install hen so I can play gta 5 online on the ps3 all started when I got all the files on my drive and my ps3 wouldn't recognize that the update file was on there went into recovery mode and it saw them so I did it when I rebooted it didn't change the software version from 4.90 to 4.90 hen then it started seeing it on the xmb installed it on there same issue it's just refusing to install any help would be great I don't want to factory reset if that's possible it still sees the update file now but it won't install it finish's reboots and does nothing doesn't show that it updated to the hen 4.90 any help would be nice

I believe you are talking about HFW 4.90.1 which when installed will not say as much in System > System Information in the XMB (i.e. it will always just say 4.90 but not 4.90.1 as it does when you go to install it). Recovery Menu is needed because you are trying to install what is essentially the same firmware over the top of the same. As long as HFW installed in the Recovery Menu or XMB, you are clear to install and initialise HEN.

It won't work no matter what

Even when I do in recovery mode it does nothing when I go to try on ps3xploit website and go to the hen auto installer it won't load that page but it will load the first one just trying to install this so I can play gta 5 online og servers

i installed hen before on this same systen but took out the original drive and put a ssd in and renistalled the os before it was easy idk whats going on

i did but it just goes form a certin percentage to 100% and reboots i would like to install it tonight to mess around with on gta 5 online
