PS3 keeps freezing?

When I try to install webMAN mod it freezes my console and so does trying to mount games or open menu with ManaGunZ. ManaGunZ freezes on the bullet and webMAN mod freezes when I try to install both lite and standard version (Full just restarts my console no webMAN mod when activating HEN). Anyway to fix?

On HFW 4.87.1 and PS3HEN 3.0.2. Trying to use ManaGunZ 1.38 and trying to install webMAN mod 1.47.33. I want to run ps2 games with configs without having to make thru PS2 Classics GUI and then install pkgs.

Managunz v1.38 is not fully compatible with 4.87 firmwares (of any flavour), you need to wait for the next version

The only way to run PS2 game backups in HEN without installing the PKG's generated by "PS2 classics GUI" is by using an additional trick that requires to have installed a "PS2 placeholder"

The PS2 placeholder looks and behaves exactly like a "PS2 classics" PKG, and the backup manager replaces the ISO and CONFIG inside the instalaltion directory of the PKG
This is the reason why it works, you can replace the ISO and the CONFIG inside the instalaltion path of the "PS2 classic" game but the PS3 doesnt realizes that are different

Yes I am using IRISMAN to use games thru PS2 Classics Placeholder but I don't think it applies the configs (Star wars battlefront 2 freezes). I heard that mebMAN mod can mount ps2 games and automatically select the cofigs for ps2 games because I have multiple ps2 BIN.ENC on ps3 in PS2ISO. That is why I need wenMAN mod to install without freezing.

Hmmm, I can't think of any reason for that. Are you installing the latest version 1.47.33?

You could dump your dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt and have a look at it, make sure webman sprx is referenced there. Are you sure webMAN is not running with just the notification disabled? Try connect via FTP to check.

and webMAN mod is needed for prepISO and after enabling hen when trying to use prepISO it just restarts my console. ftp works thru multiMAN.

Both PrepISO and webMAN installer are meant to just go to a black screen and then restart the console, that is normal.

Try this attached boot_plugins.txt file instead, it's probably one of those other plugins causing an issue. wMM has a built in vsh menu, and AFAIK xpad plugin does not work properly with HEN.

Also the path is wrong for webMAN. Its meant to be dev_hdd0/plugins/

Remove /dev_hdd0/plugins/wm_vsh_menu.sprx from boot_plugins.txt
That plugin is loaded dynamically, so it's not longer needed in boot_plugins.txt

I recommend to remove webftp_server.sprx from /dev_blind/vsh/module
Then change the path in boot_plugins.txt to /dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx
Check that you have /dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx, if the file is not there re-install webMAN MOD

boot_plugins.txt will end like this:
/dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx
/dev_hdd0/plugins/ps3xpad/xpad_vsh.sprx

That has fixed it. Been trying since HEN was released for this. Thank you. I can load the games now.

Just connect with your FTP client in the same way, webMAN MODs FTP should always be running in the background.

I don't use WinSCP so can't help there.

If you are on windows, just try entering this into your windows file explorer address bar. It's actually better than other FTP clients as you can copy and paste to/from the FTP server.

ftp://192.168.8.52 Replace IP with your own PS3s IP address. You can check your IP in network settings > Status if you think it has changed. Your IP might change if you have it set to get the IP automatically from your router via DHCP, but this is nothing to do with webMAN MOD. Set a manual IP address in network settings if you want to be sure it will never change, OR set a rule in your router settings so it always gives the same IP to your PS3 based on the mac address.

Are you sure your PS3s IP is 10.253.199.101? Normally local IPs are not like that.
