Don't know if you upload the right file Cards. The download says version "a". I thought this was the update to version "b"? Thanks!

No Cards. The download link was labeled as "a" but it's supposed to be update "b".
I am the developer. The latest version is 0.41a and it can be downloaded at the following link:

https://github.com/francesco2013/PS3-Manager/releases/download/0.41a/PS3-Manager-0.41a.zip

P.s.: Later this week I am going to release a VM Image with everything pre-installed and running version 0.41a. It will also include a very easy to use setup script that will allow the user to configure:

- PS3-Manager Networks Details (IP address, DNS, Gateway).
- PS3 IP address (It will check if Webman is up and running and it will confirm the right configuration).
- Mount the network share without the need to issue Linux command line commands. It will work for both Windows Shares or Linux Shares.
- ps3NetSrv already installed and configured.

I'm confused now. From above thru stlCards:

Doesn't "a" come before "b" in the alphabet? :abnormal: So, you released version "b" before releasing a version "a"? I mean it says updated version but it's still version "a"? That doesn't seem right to me but I guess to each their own.

Why not just call them V1, V2, etc. instead of using these letters like a & b to list the version? The way Cards has it put in the 1st post it's backwards. An update to version "b" is with a version "a" which is backwards. Thanks! :adoration:

It was 0.40a, 0.40b, 0.41a and so on. 0.41b has not been released yet. It is actually a standard way to versioning software.

I wouldn't call is the standard way. Most software in the scene is labeled as V1, V2, V3, & so on & not "a", "b", "c", etc. I'm not trying to be difficult but the way it's posted it makes it look like there's been another version already after 0.40a.

StlCards has 0.40b listed as an update right in his post when there's not been a version "b" released. No problem though man. It's all good! Thanks!

For one there is not standard way of versioning. Have not seen many apps or developers that do it the same to be honest, v0.40.1 and v0.40.A is really not different. We know that A comes before B and ! comes before 2

Not sure what you are quite talking about as there was a v0.40b it was the update right before this latest one of v0.41a .. The only thing that was a mistake was in the download link (above the source link) . I had it labeled as v0.41b (mistakenly) which was fixed very early one

There was an update after v040a it was v0.40b
here is his github release page
https://github.com/francesco2013/PS3-Manager/releases

So i do not quite understand what is labeled incorrectly?

Edit: did not see kozarrov reply

Cards, even the developer said there had been no version "b" update. Read one of his post above. You say there has been a version "b" update. You say there was a version "a" that was released after version "b".

That is backwards in the American alphabet isn't it? A comes before B! That's the most of my point along with why not use V1, V2, V3, etc. instead of a, b, c,etc.? It's his choice because it's his game manager. I just don't want to see people get confused on the updated releases like it has did to me. Thanks!

Its quite clear the timeline of events and the releases that have been released.

Please pay attention please as this has been explained and it really needs no explanation, because the developer (as seen in quote above) has stated there is NO v0.41b You are mixing up v0.40 and 0.41 appears

This is where you keep mixing up 0.40 and 0.41

Yes, that's where it's being mixed up & not actually "a" & "b". He released 0.41 before he released 0.40 version. 40 comes before 41 so that's where I was getting it mixed up. Wonder why he released 0.41 before 0.40? Again, just like "a" & "b" that's backwards in the American system for numbers too. Thanks!

I think you have got the numbers mixed up.

Its fairly simple. 0.40a was first, then 0.40b, then 0.41a.

If you read the "changelogs" section from bottom to top you get the timeline. You can see that 0.40a and 0.40b come under the "previous updates" heading.
