I was also thinking about replacing the NEC tokens on a Ps3 CECHG04 with 1002 errors. The only question I have now is, why aren't the NEC Tokens replaced with new NEC Tokens? I mean, you can still get them on eBay and Aliexpress and it would be better to replace the broken part with exactly the same one instead of looking for a replacement that fits as well as possible. So why is everyone looking for halfway suitable alternatives instead of buying and installing the same part again?
