I was Officially able to use Ps3Netserver to see and mount games using Wi-fi, The steps i took were:
. connect on xmb to my wifi network
.disable windows firewall on pc
.In multiman Enable Nethost (2 in my case)
.Leave the IP as 10.0.0. and not fill in the last digit
.Refresh games listing
Furthermore i would like to access and mount using LAN
im still having issues with this. It seems if im using wi-fi on the pc ps3 Net Server defults to the wireless IP.
so i went ahead and disconnected my wifi adapter.
What should i set my wireless IP to on pc as typing in the ip still hangs at connecting to client?
I understand That i could set my ipv4 to just about anything on pc and Ps3netserver will use that, im just using multi-man, i was also able to access my ps3 webman setup via pc and add my wireless and wired ip on port 38008
set my ipv4 on pc to 1.1.1.1
used multi man and setup net host ip to 1.1.1.1 port 38008
also added 1.1.1.1 to my wman setup when searching for games and enabled search on startup
next thing i could do is connect via wired connection FIRST on xmb than try again.
when this is all said and done ill make an Updated video on youtube for setting up PS3NetServer on Evilnat 4.89 (i know its the same as its always been). and believe it or not i set this all up and got it working before. you dont use it you lose it is what they say!!
I think that you're talking about ps3netsrv. In multiMAN it's called "nethost" but in webMAN it's just "net0".
To use it, you need to have
ps3netsrv running on a computer that is in your same network.
The server has been ported to several platforms, including Windows, linux, Android, MacOS, etc.
In some platforms like Android or PS3 only ISO files are supported. Other platforms support ISO and JB folder format. The storage in the server can be in any native format supported by the OS.
On the PS3 side you must be running webMAN MOD or multiMAN. sMAN and webMAN also let you mount remote games.
In webMAN MOD you need to configure the server in /setup.ps3 then refresh XML to scan the games.
Thank you so much for all of your work !! and responding to me !
FYI you can also use drives formatted in NTFS & exFAT format in the MBR partition table. In these formats you do not have to split the files [as no 4 GB limit on NTFS & exFAT] and drives upto 2 TB can be used [MBR partition table max capacity].
If you want additional storage you can use another 2 TB HDD to have a total of 4 TB storage.
It will always be better to use the external HDD method over the nethost method.
Use
this tool for using NTFS / exFAT formatted drives.
Ive tried so hard to het my ntfs and exfat drives working on Evilnat 4.89. the closest i got was using multiman in multiman mode using pfs driver in filemanager and using showtime to copy games to internal storage!!
In conclusion I was able to get it working by following the creators instructions. Both LAN and Wi-Fi.
Connect to your wireless/ wired connection on xmb
Webman games/ webman setup / ps3 webman setup/ extend scan for content settings/ enter your computers IP into ps3netsrv#1/ check box to scan for lan games and videos. Scan on startup should be enabled. Scroll down HIT SAVE
On pc run ps3netsrv.exe and verify IP select your location where your games folder is located and start server
restart ps3
Check webman games
I will make an extended step by step with pictures in the future and address network setting and other issues that would stop this from working
Could not get it working thru multi man using the networks function using lan
did get Wi-Fi working tho

Could I get a link to the android app used for this does it work with external hdd plugged in via OTG?

Also want to say there are a lot of compatibility issues on running games via external hdd regardless of format of the drive. I've used external hdd in the past in all formats some games must be on internal storage does anyone have an extensive list of games that 100% have to be on internal storage ?
