So months ago, I was watching a DVD in My PS3, when all of a sudden, it started making buzzing noises, it kept like that until the noise just disappeared after a few minutes, and now My PS3 no longer produces sound, I try to twesk the sound settings, use HDMI, use speakers and headsets for My PS3 but none of them produce sounds, not even the sound that makes when the PS3 boots up, the PS3 produces it's all mute.

How do I recover back the PS3 sound back? After watching that DVD, My PS3 no longer does sounds or music, and I want to hear the sounds of my favorite PS3 games, not to mention to hear the sounds of shooting games, those were satisfying as frick.

I need help, I want my audio back. Also the PS3 takes too long to boot up in like a minutes after it lost it's audio.

Can't do it through Recovery mode, the PS3 just turns off after 2 minutes, even while holding it a second time. Formatted the PS3 through the System Settings.

Try to reset to default settings

If that doesn't work, restore PS3 system to factory settings in recovery menu and reinstall CFW or HFW+HEN

Make sure that you have a backup of your home folder and games/DLC before wipe your HDD.

And even then, booting the Recovery menu through the PS3HEN menu has no display, making me unable to navigate through the menu properly and unable to formato the System properly.

If restoring the default settings from XMB doesn't work, try replacing the HDMI cable or try using an AV cable.

If you still cannot access the recovery menu nor re-install HFW + PS3HEN from XMB, it could be a hardware issue. You may need to get technical support.

I use AV Cable because My PS3 doesnt detect HDMI cables for some reason. It acts as if it wasnt plugged there.

This same exact audio issue now happened with my PS2 since two days ago, I think it was a bad cable that damaged the audio for both consoles.
