PS3HEN PS3 Original GameBoot for HEN 4.88

To enable the animation, it is required to patch /dev_flash/vsh/module/game_ext_plugin.sprx

However, HEN does not allow modify system files directly on /dev_flash,
To solve this limitation webMAN allows to map the patched file temporarily from /dev_hdd0/tmp/gameboot/game_ext_plugin.sprx

As that plugin is already loaded in memory when HEN is enabled, it is required to reload VSH to load the patched plugin.

The patched plugin allows to play custom animations with sound from /dev_flash/vsh/resource/custom_render_plugin.rco

Well that is a nifty feature I didn't know it could do. To see just how far webMAN has come. I can't recall the guys name that came up with the POC then DeanK making the vanilla variant. Someone else was doing a MOD branch as well but man you have really brought this plugin well beyond what ANYONE ever thought possible. I literally only use webMAN now that I can rip disc with VSH menu. I always wanted to use just the XMB and now I can do everything I need/want with just your app man. Bravo!!!!

Yes, I love that story :D

I remember that thread in psx-scene (october 18, 2013). At the time DeanK released a PoC of an always running FTP server plugin. Some user (I don't recall the name either) questioned if was possible to use it to mount games from XMB. DeanK commented that it could be possible if a web server receives command from the Internet Browser. The next day he developed an impressive PoC of the web server plugin.

For these days (september 2013) the developers Exofreak and Nathan_r32_69 (aka @Evilnat) worked together to release an app called pluginX that included a mod that opened Facebook from XMB. As DeanK didn't have much experience with XMB modding, he used that mod as base to generate the XML code used by webMAN for the game list. That's why the webMAN's entry in category_game.xml is "fb.xml" o_O

The rest of the story is summarized https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/wiki
