PS3 Phat/Fat new on this

Hello guys, after almost 10 years of using my PS3 fat, I decided to join in the CFW topic, I have been reading aroud this awesome site, and I did the mistake of upgrading to the official firmaware 4.84.

Is there any chance to JB/CFW my ps3 fat 4.84? Thank you guys!

You would need to sue the correct Hardware flasher for your PS3 model as some PHAT's are NAND and the later one's are NOR.

For NOR an E3 Hardware Flasher for NAND a Teensey. Also for NAND you would need to use FlowRebuilder as you need to dump bothe of the NAND chips and merge them together.

To patch the dumps you can use PS3 Dump Checker to check and patch the dumps , works with both NAND and NOR dumps. It has just been updated with a 4.84 NoFSM Ferrox based patch so you can install 4.84 CFW directly after flashing the patched dump, no need to downgrade to 3.55.

littlebalup just posted an update on PS3 Dump Checker today, no need to downgrade now, just to let you know :D
