PS3 PS3 PRO MOD Release/Information Thread

Hey everyone! I installed this on my Super Slim running 4.85, it seemed to install fine but when I pressed the Hard Reboot option it now just boots up to black emptiness... what did I do wrong? is my PS3 screwed? I use PS3HEN. Please help! Thank you.

Did it show that the mod has been installed just fine? if so it shouldn't happen.

Also did you install the right version? it has one for HEN and Other for CFW!

Anyway, you just need to reinstall your HFW via recovery menu, as you still are on 4.85 it's a good oportunity to update it to 4.86.
 
Ok, so i just wanna thank you for this amazing mod that also broke my PS3 as the person above mentioned. I used the specific PKG for HEN, installed everything correctly and after pressing yes to a hard reboot, it's always black screen now. I can't do or see anything on screen. Even the power button beeps, but refuses to turn off the console. I've read carefully all of the instructions, and the possibility of this wasn't mentioned anywhere. Please don't post such things or test them before posting., cause now, i have a headache to restoring, hopefully, restoring all of my data.

Hey! Thanks for the reply, yes I installed the HEN version! How can I reinstall the HFW? I'm a newb at this stuff, haha.

I'm not sure by how much this exact issue was tested, but it's like... you see it happen to two people at once, i'd do something about that.

Other than this, i've discovered that it finally works if you don't accept reboot at all, and it just returns you to the PS3 menu and everything works fine. To be honest, i'm amazed by the amount of work you've put into this. This is a really amazing and improving package that makes eveyrthing look organized and easy to use. 5 out of 5 to you for that. Thank you for this. But this issue that has happened before should be looked into, as it can really can cause issues. I was lucky this time so it was easy for me to recover this time.

Hey, do I understand correctly that you had the same issue as me (PS3 boots to just a black screen)? If so, could you tell me how you got your PS3 working again? Mine's been "Preparing... Please wait." for around 16 hours now, after I started the "Restore System" thingy in the safe mode menu.

okay, so it seems like i can't reset my PS3 system no matter what i try in the safe mode, it still shows the black screen even if there's no hard drive attached either. is my PS3 bricked?! what can i do? please help!

How do I get my PS3 to appear running text that is below the date and time? Thanks.

The MOD does not support any kind of PIRACY so installing "custom stores", "free stores" will break the MOD.
