PS3 PS3 Randomly Displaying Black Screen or White Noise

Apparently after a few hours of playing my PS3 after a long time, The PS3 started to display weird things. Sometimes randomly there is a red tint appearing on the screen. It is more noticeable on darker areas of the screen especially when most of the screen is black. Now it started to randomly show black screen with audio getting cut off a few times while I was playing and sometimes displays white noise. This becomes more frequent after a few minutes. I have tried the following

• Unplugging and replug the HDMI cable several times
• Reset the video resolution atleast 3 times by holding the power button for 5 seconds

I did try another HDMI cable but it would also randomly show black screen for a few seconds so I'm wondering if this is an HDMI port problem or an internal chip failure. Any help is appreciated

I'd try with a component cable or even the composite one that usually comes with the PS3 and also make sure the console is not overheating.
