PS3 Rebug game saves issue.

Hi everyone,
I have Rebug installed for about 1.5yrs now. It works great! I have recently decided to play some of my old favorites as I have nothing else to play at the moment.

So I do not have my main account on my PS3 as to not get banned as it is my main, current PS4 account with all games, DLCs etc. accumulated over the years.

The problem is that that all of my old saves on the console simply aren't loading using a different account/user. I've tried using the Fake Save Data Owner, but it does nothing at all. I have a save for WWE Smackdown VS. RAW 2011 for example that dates back to 2016, but it simply won't load without my main account and simply creates a new save when I open the game.

Is there any way to make my old game saves work on a different user account than the one I have played them on? I have a TON of games which I've spent a countless amount of hours to unlock everything for and I cannot use them anymore :/.
If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. I wasn't able to find anything online unfortunately :/.

If You turn on Fake Save Data Owner, saves ownership will no longer be checking. That's the purpose of this options to not making QA testers more frustrating than it should be. Since Rebug is a mix of retail and debug firmware, this options is available. I'm not sure if it will work only with debug VSH or retail too. Switch it in Rebug Toolbox to DEX if You have set to CEX.

You can also resign saves using i.e Apollo Save Data Tool.

@nCadeRegal No. "aa" user is needed for ReActPsn for some reason. It has nothing to do with FSDO option. ;]

I believe with fake save you need to create a new user with the name a, or aa. I could be completely wrong here. There are many here who should be able to answer this for you.

Changing the CEX option to DEX didn't work. I have never tried or even heard about Apollo Tool. If I resign a save on my HDD, does it make it work with any user?
Also, will it make the DLCs I have on my HDD work with any user as well?

At the moment since I'm not using the account with which I bought DLCs for WWE games for example, I am getting an error stating that the data may be corrupted.

Sorry for bothering you people like that, but when I installed Rebug I was mainly playing games which I bought recently and never owned before.
I don't really look forward to replaying all the games that took a ton of time to unlock everything in them, especially since I can see saves present for them from years back.

It works for Rebug Rex and Rebug D-Rex custom firmwares.

Of course not. Resigning doesn't make saves free from been signing, but signing for target user. Thank Sony for that bullshit.

You cannot load saves which was saved after DLC installed and played on games which have not those DLC and patches. Saves sticks to specific minimum game patch version and DLC (in case DLC is not found, yet still have needed version, some games allow to load but lock everything related to DLC, i.e in LBP costumes saved from DLC are locked until You install DLCs and their licenses).

DLC bought by another users, as long as this user and license file exist, is recognized by game launched by different user.

First rule of the scene: You cannot "play and forget". Hacked consoles, needs attention and minimum knowledge about how they works. Well, You actually can, but in case of problems You will stay on the same level of helplessness as on OFW. In example: many peoples don't know that data on PS3 HDD is encrypted. After console died they wanted read data from it on PC and already cannot because lack of key. Just like on OFW. But if they have read it while they still can, they would be able easily copy everything and loose nothing. Or similar example: people doesn't understand that PS3 using custom and encrypted partition table, and do not understand that there are other worlds than Windows supported things; so they connecting PS3 HDD to PC, agree to "initialize HDD" and ending with overwritten partition table by MBR or GPT, loosing permanently old one and making data recovery a lot tedious that it could be. The point of this two stories is: You must understand what You use to be prepared for backup and recovery scenarios; or You can face a lot of problems and data loss.

So, long story short, since your post was kind of confusing, there's nothing I can do about that issue? All my old saves are basically useless now?

I guess it's time to get rid of my PS3 then.

Useless until You turn on Fake Save Data Owner option or resign all those saves for different account (the one on which You want playing games with those saves loaded).

get Apollo Save Tool (ps3 homebrew), install it on your PS3 and resign all the saves for the current user... that should work and let you load your old savegames in the CFW ps3.

Of course, keep a backup of your original save files just in case the resigning doesn't solve your issue.

I'll give it a try, thanks :).

That's far clearer now. Your previous reply was extremely confusing and sounded like I can't do anything. I'll try Apollo and resigning then, as Fake Save Owner doesn't work by itself.
Thanks for the help :).
