PS3 PS3 Slim 320GB CECH-2504A CFW to OFW and back

Hello all!
I have an PS3 Slim 320GB CECH-2504A with Rebug 4.88 CFW. I want to give this console to my friend who has a plenty of games on disc, and on PSN. He want to play PS3 games and get trophies on his regular PSN account used on PS5 and PS Vita too.
The question is how to go to OFW (I think 4.91 is the latest), and after he played those games (a few months) on his account, how to go back to Rebug/Evilnat CFW?

you'd have to use bgtoolbox, I think. there's usually a db firmware that's exactly like ofw, except it has patches to revert back to cfw. afaik, no one's been banned using that. if it's already happened, you'll have to patch the flash, then install cfw the normal way via bguerville toolbox. I don't have any experience using it though, but @MrMario2011 is a good source on youtube. he's a member on here. only trust his videos or moddedwarfare's if it's ps4/5.

OK, thank you. I don't want to risc his account. I don't mind if there is a longer way to put ofw and then back to cfw. Are there any way to do this?
 
his account won't be at risk if you don't sign in to psn with it on cfw or something. sony does ban accounts, but it would only be the account signed in during an unscrupulous account (including being on cfw). they don't ban all accounts on the system. @GuilloteTesla could probably help further. he's quite knowledgeable and active on here.
 
Thank you, but I think he is not ready to put his acc on cfw console, even there is minimalchance for ban.
Please let me know the way how to install the ofw on my cfw PS3, and then when the PS3 is on 4.91 ofw are there a way to go back to Rebug or Evilnat CFW. As I mentioned before I have PS3 Slim 2504A with Rebug 4.88 cfw.

If your friend is not willing to use his account on a jailbroken console, then let the console as is, on OFW.

The only ban risks happen when cheating online by using modified eboots or mods, and with some games that implement anti-cheat meassures (like Call of Duty, which are extremely sensitive).

You must use BgToolset in order to install CFW. After that, if you want to return to OFW then you must install Dual-boot FW but it's pointless to go back and forth between CFW and OFW.

In fact, it can be dangerous if some power issue happens during the FW update process.

Use DB firmware, which is identical to OFW, except that it allows you to flash CFW again. It's considered undetectable and I've never heard of anyone ever getting banned using it. The only things to worry about are (1) If any of your trophies are hacked, flashing DB or OFW does not remove them, so make sure you delete them before flashing, and (2) CoD BO2, any later CoD titles, and Destiny (only those specific games) can detect certain leftover homebrew-related files, potentially leading to a ban even if you install DB or even real OFW, so if you want to play those you will need to uninstall all homebrew and delete any leftover homebrew-related files before flashing.
