PS3 Ps3 slim freezing.

Hi all,
Maybe someone has a solution for this.
I cant seem to find the problem for one of my slims.
Whenever i try to run bgtoolset or try to launch any game the console just freezes.
I did tantalums on it as the rsx ones where fried. That didnt fix it. Changed hdd, that didnt help. On the xmb its working with no problems. As soon as i try to launch something, thats it. It freezes.

Try changing the PSU. If I'm correct, a lot of PS3 Slims had problems with their PSU

The only thing left is to check the Syscon error log.

(Any motherboard revision from VER-001 onwards is Sherwood. The COK, SEM and DIA boards are all Mullion.)

So the syscon doesn't register any error ? Sorry if I misunderstood your problem but check the syscon error log.

Nope, nothing new in syscon. It doesnt shut off or anything, it stays on but just freezes.

What is the model of your PS3 ??

CHECH-2004B. Ps3toolset hangs on hooking up vsh exports aswell.

What version are you on?
Did you try upgrading? If not, give it a shot.

If I were you, I'd install a CFW and try downgrading just to see if it helps but be careful, it can be risky.

Its on 4.92. Since i cant run ps3toolset i cant install cfw.

Try installing a HFW (4.92.1) and tell me if it change anything.

I hope your PS3 won't freeze when installing the HFW...
