Ps3 slim Japanese model buttons

Hi guys
I have a white Japanese slim ps3
The x button is the o and the o is the x
Japan models are this way.
Any way I can change the x and o layout
In system.
Thanx in advance

yes, debug settings. I think it's in the qa segment. if not, try the xregistry. that should be in there for sure. it might be 00 for Japan and 01 for Western (haven't looked). that's how it is on the vita at least. the debug settings menu, though, is the easiest way.

it looks like it's debug menu 2, so a level higher than qa flagging. I actually had mine with O as confirm as well as the vita's. I own a Japanese ps4, so it was already set. this was to mirror the buttons of a Nintendo system. Microsoft uses the same scheme as sony except the button names for A and B are reversed from Nintendo. and, with the ps4, the button for confirm is O in the home menu, but usually X in game while playing American games. it's extremely confusing. :D

btw, I'm aware that you can change the button mappings through settings on the ps4, but it seems to have an undesirable effects like being in game too (not just the home menu), causing confusion between the button displayed and the button used. there may be a debug setting for this. I'll have to ask kiiwii about that. :-p

Debug Settings, has the Button Behaviour, you can change from O to X with ease.

Nope it has not, just looked recently, no button behavior settings in this debug menu like pinky also said. Its a CEX console with Rebug REX and Debug XMB enabled but no such setting.

A okay forget that, I found it I had to configure some things in the Rebug toolbox. now it works. thx for that :)

Just have Cobra CFW runing on machine along with QA Flagged do the Combo Buttons while highlight on Network Settings then scroll down to Debug Settings and the first option Called Button Behaviour click on it and switch to Confirm with Cross

Guys I just bought a Japanese ps3 slim and I have the same problem, please help

Hey my Friend. If this is a CFW capable PS3 you can install Rebug's Rex 4.84 CFW f.ex. It is a "mix" of CEX retail CFW and debug firmware. One of the Debug fuctionalities is the possibility to swap X/O button assignment.

You can grab it here: https://rebug.me/official-rebug-4-84-2-rex-d-rex-cobra-8-1-toolbox-2-03-02-mar-29th-2019/

be sure to use the Rex fpr CEX consoles, not the D-Rex, this one would be for real debug consoles. But as I know there is no brick risk, cause a retail PS3 just blocks the try to update onto a debug firmware with an error code. so if your ps3 starts installing, it grabed the right one.

if this ps3 is still completly stock, go and get it unlocked in first place to install the rebug. http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)/
